50501’s “Hands Off!” Protest on 4/5

Dear American Opposition:

When we launched this organization, we knew the fight to stop fascism in this country wouldn’t be easy. But we also knew that if we stood together—unapologetically, relentlessly—we could build a movement powerful enough to push back against Donald Trump.

On February 5 and again on February 17, you showed up. You filled the streets in cities big and small. You proved that we are not alone, that the American people are awake, and that we will not let our democracy fall without a fight.

When we called for a boycott of Tesla, you answered that call with courage and clarity. You understood that this isn’t just about politics—it’s about power. And if the oligarchy wants to back fascism, then we will make them pay for it.

Now, it’s time to show up again.

Tomorrow, we're joining 50501’s Hands Off! National Day of Protest, and for the first time since our movement began, Indivisible will officially be powering a national protest. This is a major step forward in uniting the pro-democracy movement. The establishment is beginning to understand what we’ve always known: There is no neutral ground in the face of authoritarianism.

I’ll be speaking at the protest in Denver. But no matter where you are—whether you’re marching in the streets, speaking out online, or organizing your neighbors—you are the most vital part of this movement.

Let’s make tomorrow the biggest day of protest yet. Let’s send a message that cannot be ignored: The American Opposition is growing, and we will never back down.

See you in the streets.

In solidarity,

Carlos Álvarez-Aranyos
